HISTORY & HERITAGE
In 2019, near the historic city of Uplistsikhe, in the heart of Kartli, where the mountains merge with fertile plains, "Uplistsikhe Estate" was founded. Its main goal and mission were to revive Georgia’s ancient winemaking traditions and restore Kartli as one of the oldest but somewhat forgotten centers of viticulture.

In our estate, ancient traditions blend harmoniously with modern technology. The winemaking facility includes a fully equipped winery, a cellar with ancient Qvevris traditional clay vessels used for fermenting and aging wine, and dedicated tasting areas where every guest can experience the beauty of our lands and wine as an art form.

At our estate, we set out to bring back the original (authentic) taste characteristics of Georgian wine. That’s why we planted a unique vineyard on 7 hectares of land, carefully selecting local grape varieties that our ancestors had cultivated for centuries. Kartli’s special climate and fertile soil contribute to the uniqueness of the wines produced in this region.
A special highlight is our small and cozy restaurant, where guests can enjoy traditional Georgian dishes perfectly paired with our wines while admiring breathtaking landscapes. From every corner of the winery, spectacular views of Kartli’s plains and majestic mountains unfold, leaving no one indifferent.

PHILOSOPHY
At our winery, we are committed to reviving and preserving the art of winemaking, offering both traditional still wines and sparkling wines crafted with passion and care. Our goal is to share the true essence of Georgia’s winemaking heritage, combining it with modern techniques to create wines that tell a story—of the land, the history, and the people behind each bottle.
We welcome you to join us on this journey through time and taste, where each glass of wine is a tribute to the ancient winemaking traditions of Georgia and the unparalleled beauty of Kartli.
